Shipping instructions for returned systems
It is very important for us at TBH to protect our customers from hazardous pollutants by using our extraction systems. The health and safety of our employees is equally important to us. Therefore, we ask for your understanding to consider the following instructions for returned systems:
- Used filters or filters that are contaminated with harmful substances must be removed from the systems before sending them back! Generally, the filters are not required for inspecting and repairing a system and are a potential health risk. Our employees could inhale released pollutants while unpacking and subsequently handling the systems after they arrived at our site. We would like to avoid that.
- In general, please do not send us any used or contaminated filters. They are hazardous waste. You must dispose of them in accordance with local regulations, at your local disposal company.
ATTENTION:
If we receive a shipment with used filters, our staff is instructed to dispose of them immediately at your expense. In this case we will be charging you a disposal fee. The amount depends on various factors such as the type and size of the filter(s).
- If the systems or single units show external soiling, we ask you to clean them at least roughly if possible. Especially if the deposited particles could be hazardous pollutants.
- Please ensure proper packaging to avoid transport damage. Systems and single units should be shipped upright and not lying down, must be secured, and well-wrapped on a pallet and shipped by a forwarding agent! If you want to return unused, larger replacement filters, e. g. from a TFS or LN600 series, or heavy activated carbon filters, you must secure them on a pallet and ship them by a forwarding agent as well. Ideally you can use the same pallet on / packaging in which you got the filters.
